Here we will be taking a look at possible prospects in each round of the draft for the Redskins. Even with free agency at the twighlight stage the ‘Skins still have a lot of holes to fill on the roster. With the Redskins saying that they are open to trading the 5th overall pick, I will also have possible players the Redskins could target if they trade back. So I hope you enjoy!
Players/Positions in order from what I think what position they should target with that pick.

Fifth Round Pick 141:
Wide Receiver:
Titus Davis
Justin Hardy
Kenny Bell
Tony Lippett
Jamison Crowder
Dezmin Lewis
Mario Alford
Titus Davis might not beat corners with speed, but he can beat them with his route running. He has excellent ball skills, foot quickness, and can make plays at the goal line; which is what the Redskins need. Justin Hardy attacks his responsibilities on the field with urgency and aggressiveness. He is a very reliable target and is good in run-blocking assignments, but he needs to prove he has the quickness to get separation out of his breaks. Kenny Bell has speed, great hands, and makes big plays down the field. Tony Lippett needs to work on route running a little more, but he’s a hard worker, has confidence, and competitive fire. Dezmin Lewis is a raw player with average athleticism, but he caught the ball well at the combine and will need time to grow as a receiver in the NFL. Jamison Crowder is a smaller slot wide receiver, he will have to win with his hands, route running, and solid hands. He can also return punts/kicks in the NFL. Mario Alford plays with straight-line track speed, which could help him get separation before and after the catch. He could also potentially be a kick returner if coached the right way.

Cornerbacks:
Lorenzo Doss
Damian Swann
JaCorey Shepherd
Lorenzo Doss is a thin but functionally strong cornerback with an overriding desire to compete for every ball thrown his way. JaCorey Shepherd lack of physicality against the run will hurt, but his ball skills and college production will catch some eyes. Damian Swann plays physically with great energy and effort. He doesn't play tightly enough in coverage or make enough plays on the ball to be a starting cornerback as of now though.

Tight End:
Tyler Kroft
James O'Shaughnessy
Nick O’Leary
Tyler Kroft is a tall, athletic tight end who can get open in space and make plays after the catch. He is also a completive run blocker; which is something the Redskins need if Jordan Reed ever goes down again. James O'Shaughnessy has good play speed, quick feet, concentration, hands, and vertical ability. He can compete for jump balls, and can create space with his quickness; but needs to work more on his blocking ability. Nick O’Leary has the competiveness and toughness to be a dual threat TE but he lacks the physical traits. He should be an effective blocker and pass catcher in the NFL.

Guard/Center:
Josue Matias
Shaq Mason
B.J. Finney
Jeremiah Poutasi
Josue Matias has good length and pass-protection traits. He uses technique over power, but he needs to be more explosive in run blocking and improve against change of direction. He has high-end potential, but he has to put in the work to reach that potential. Shaq Mason is a powerful blocker with strong hands and upper body. He has a lack of height and arm length but with his elite power as a run blocker and solid pass-protection he could become a starting right guard in the NFL. B.J. Finney lacks athleticism but has he has good hand strength, body composure, and is good with using his power. He could be a starter on day one. Jeremiah Poutasi has athletic limitations which could mean a move to guard where he’d have to learn to play with quicker, stronger hands, which could take some time, but would have a lot of potential.

Outside Linebackers:
Max Valles
Jake Ryan
Max Valles has outstanding athleticism and physical tools, if he can unlock his football intelligence he could become something special. Jake Ryan has the size, physicality, and commitment to film work. His instincts need some work, and is stiff and stays blocked for too long.

Safety:
Gerod Holliman
Gerod Holliman has outstanding ball skins as it showed when he totaled 14 interceptions in his first year starting at free safety. But he is terrible at tackling, it shows up on tape and it will affect his draft position.

Defensive Line:
Quayshawne Buckley
David Parry
Derrick Lott
Leterrius Walton
Louis Trinca-Pasat
Quayshawne Buckley is active, athletically gifted, with outstanding quickness and explosive traits, but since he played at a smaller school he will have to adjust to the higher level of talent. David Parry has explosive power but has a modest frame for a nose tackle. He has the strength and functional quickness to be a factor against the run and disrupt the pocket vs the pass. Derrick Lott is a skilled pass-rusher who was too talented for the competition he faced in college and looks to prove he can keep up the same level of play in the NFL. Leterrius Walton is a high-motor athlete who would mainly play against the run.

Running Back:
Karlos Williams
Cameron Artis-Payne
Karlos Williams switched from a defensive back to running back during his time at FSU. He is a big one-cut runner with exceptional burst. He has a lot of character concerns but has a high ceiling in the NFL. Cameron Artis-Payne has the speed and can get through the creases, but he lacks the ability to max out carries. He is a tough runner but he might not be anything more than a backup.

My Pick: Titus Davis, WR, Central Michigan
Backup Options: Max Valles, OLB, Virginia or Lorenzo Doss, CB, Tulane
