Washington Redskins 2015 Free Agents
The Redskins currently have 17 pending free agents, so we'll look at each player and predict the possibilty of them resigning (scale from 1-10, 1 being least likely, 10 being most likely). (It will say there age beside their name.)
QB Colt McCoy (29)
Redskins will only want 2 QBs in a competition during the offseason this year, so it will be either between RGIII and Kirk Cousins, Colt McCoy, or another veteran QB. Redskins could also trade Cousins and if they choose that route there isn't really a QB in free agency that is much better than McCoy and he already knows the system, so it would make a lot of sense for him to be resigned. It will all depend on what Gruden and McCloughan think of him and if they think Kirk Cousins can develop. Prediction: 3/10

RB Roy Helu Jr. (27)
Roy Helu is the only speed back on our team but he said he wants to test free agency this season because he is looking to be an every down back. But says he would like to stay with ‘Skins if no other team offers him to be one. He is a great role player and Redskins would be wise to resign, unless they plan to get a young back like him in the 2nd or 3rd round. Prediction: 4/10

UPDATE: SIGNED WITH OAKLAND
WR Leonard Hankerson (27)
Hankerson is the Redskins only tall receiver (and he's only 6'2), but he was out most of the year recovering from an ACL tear from 2013. He really only played in the Buccaneers game and didn’t do much and was inactive for the rest of the season. It doesn't look great if you are hoping he stays. Prediction: 3/10

UPDATE: SIGNED WITH ATLANTA
WR Santana Moss (36)
At the beginning of the season Santana Moss was inactive for the first few games, but over took Aldrick Robinson for last active WR on game day. Moss didn’t make much of an impact on the field in 2014 mostly due to a lot of talent at the position, but I do think he had a hand in coaching up Rookie WR Ryan Grant. Moss is one of my favorite players and would love to see him come back for one more year. Prediction: Retires

TE Niles Paul (26)
The Redskins have a pretty tough choice with Paul. He didn’t do very much until Jay Gruden arrived and did very well subbing in for Jordan Reed when he was out and still produced when Reed came back. Paul will have a tough choice on whether to leave or not because he could become a starter for another team or at least have an increased role. Prediction: 6/10

OT Tyler Polumbus (26)
Polumbus was benched midway through the season for 2 year RT Tom Compton. Both were inconsistent throughout the season. Redskins could decide to keep Polumbus as a backup but would be way overpaid. Gruden also wants to get bigger on the o-line and switch to power blocking instead of zone blocking. Prediction: 2/10

DE Jarvis Jenkins (27)
Jarvis Jenkins hasn’t been very consistent his whole career after an injury during his rookie season. But he still could be a good role player and has shown some promise. He’s not a great pass rusher but he is pretty good against the run. Prediction: 6/10

NT Chris Neild (28)
Neild is the only true NT on the roster, he’s only played in 24 games in his pro career because of injuries so the Redskins could sign him for pretty cheap. This past season Neild tore his ACL for the second time in his pro career. Neild was a 7th round draft pick but when he has been healthy he has shown promise. Prediction: 6/10

OLB Everette Brown (28)
Brown was in training camp last season with the Redskins but was released before the season, until they resigned him during the season after Brian Orakpo went down with a season ending injury. If he comes back to the Redskins he would be competing for a roster spot. He would have a better change at making the roster if Orakpo leaves. Prediction: 5/10

OLB Brian Orakpo (29)
Tough call on Orakpo, he will probably be looking for a long-term deal from someone but because of all the injuries, might not get it. Sure he didn’t produce a lot of sacks this season but he helped a ton in the running game. The only way I see Orakpo signing back is for a 2 year deal with average ammount of money, I don't think it'd be a wise decison if they give him a big contract because their is a lot of talent at OLB in the draft this year. Prediction: 6/10

LB Akeem Jordan (30)
A good special teams player, and a solid back up LB; his season was cut short because of injury. Prediction: 6/10

CB E.J. Biggers (28)
Has done ‘OK’ playing in the slot for the Redskins the past few season but has been very inconsistent. Prediction: 4/10

S Ryan Clark (36)
Was inconsistent throughout the season but was Redskins best safety this season. He was a pretty solid tackler this season and also coached up some guys in the secondary. He still wants to play and I wouldn’t mind him coming back for one more season to be a coach on the field (even if he isn’t a starter) especially if we draft a young safety. Prediction: 6/10
UPDATE: Ryan Clark officially retired.

S Brandon Meriweather (31)
Meriweather has either been hurt, suspended, or inconsistent with his time in the Redskins organization. Even though the Redskins only have two safeties under contract right now (Phillip Thomas and Akeem Davis), I don’t think he is in Redskins plans for next season. Prediction: 3/10

S Duke Ihenacho
After the Denver Broncos cut him last season, Redskins were quick to pick him up. But he only played one game due to injury. Ihenacho is a good special team’s player and good against the run on defense, but struggles against the pass. If he wasn't injured, it wouldn’t have surprised me if he would have taken Meriweather’s starting role. Redskins need him back next season to have a tough safety and to have a good special teams player. Prediction: 7/10

K Kai Forbath
Fotbath has been a pretty consistent with his time with the Redskins (his weakest area is kickoffs), but last season Washington selected a kicker in the 7th round to compete with him. Could this be a sign that the Redskins go in a different direction? There aren't many options in free agency so I don't think so. Prediction: 9/10
